Corso’s Founder

Matthew Pellegrino is the Founder and Managing Partner of Corso Capital Advisors, where he provides advisory services to private markets investors including limited partners, and general partners at the management company-, fund-, and asset-levels. He has over a decade of experience, including more than seven years focused exclusively on private markets secondary transactions as both a principal investor and sell-side advisor. Matthew has invested and advised on over $2 billion of transaction value across more than 40 transactions. His private markets experience spans the entire capital structure across multiple transaction types, including GP-led secondary transactions, take-private transactions, management-led buyouts, preferred equity, NAV-based financings, LP interest acquisitions, co-investments and primary commitments. While a generalist, his sector knowledge includes significant experience with healthcare and specialty finance companies.

Prior to founding Corso Capital Advisors, Matthew was an early team member at a private markets advisory firm focused on GP-led secondary transactions. Prior to that role, Matthew led origination, execution, and structuring of investments in North America at Committed Advisors, an independent global private equity secondary investment firm where he focused on a broad range of secondaries transactions. He also represented the firm in multiple limited partner advisory board and board observer roles. Matthew started his career in investment banking at Raymond James. He also worked for Independence Blue Cross, a health insurance company in Philadelphia.

Matthew is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and he also serves as a board member of a not-for-profit organization supporting local children’s charities in southern New Jersey. He and his wife reside in Boca Raton, Florida with their Cane Corso, Harley Quinn.
